BLOODMONEY: A Terrifying Clicker on Morality, Desperation, and the Cost of Suffering
Overview
BloodMoney, a short-form horror clicker game developed by Shroomychrist Studios, has a strong psychological effect. It was released in August 2025 and poses the question, "How far would you go for money?" pretending to be a lighthearted pastel clicker.

Story Premise
A Desperate Bargain
You're desperate for $25,000 to pay for a life-saving medical operation. Then, Harvey Harvington appears at a roadside stall promising $1 per click. Simple, right? But as you click more, he suffers, and your earnings rise — at a chilling cost.
Gameplay Mechanics
Fundamental Controls and Advancement
- Click to Earn: You can start earning $1 for each click you make on Harvey.
- Tool Purchases: Shop items boost the payout but intensify the damage done.
- Each of the following weapons causes more pain and gains more money with each click: feather, needle, hammer, scissors, match, and knife.
- Morality in Motion: As Harvey's responses change from happy to scared or angry, each upgrade forces you further into moral ambiguity.
Audio and Visual Design
Dissonance in Art Style
The contrast between innocence and horror is further emphasized by BLOODMONEY's pastel, "cute" images, which unnervingly contrast with its violent content.
Audio Styling
- Tense soundtrack: Up until the violence starts, a surprisingly serene tune plays.
- Voice acting: Harvey’s voice ranges from warm to desperate, adding weight to every player's decision. Dexter Manning voices Harvey Harvington.
Endings: The Price of Your Choices
There are three distinct endings, determined by your moral balance:
Good Ending
- Achieved by avoiding severe tools like scissors — you collect $25,000 with minimal violence and leave with your conscience intact.
Normal Ending
- You use harsher tools but stop short of destruction. Harvey survives and later sues you — a chilling twist on karma.
Bad Ending
- You push too far, even buying a $20,000 gun, shoot Harvey, drive off with obscene amounts of money, only to realize you never needed it.
There’s also a twisted “game over” where Harvey fights back if you hesitate — and can turn the tables in a terrifying moment.
